Easy homemade garlic bread baked with butter, garlic, and herbs — the perfect side for pasta, soup, or any comfort meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf Italian bread or French bread
  • 8 tablespoon butter softened
  • 2 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Add the softened butter to a mixing bowl
  2. Add the garlic, parsley, salt and parmesan cheese to the butter and mix all the ingredients together until all have been combined
  3. Slice your choice of bread down the middle to create to open faced halves
  4. Take the garlic and butter mixture and spread it over each side of the bread
  5. Pre heat your oven to 375 degrees
  6. Place the bread on a foil lined baking sheet butter side up
  7. Place in the top rack of the preheated oven and cook for 5-7 minutes until the edges of the garlic bread our golden brown
  8. Remove and slice into serving sizes and serve hot
  9. Wrap in aluminum foil or a towel to keep warm if needed

Notes

  • Buy a nice loaf of bread for best results. 
  • Spreading the seasoned butter allows for a more even cook and balance of flavors.  No need to fuss with melting butter. 
  • Top with mozzarella cheese to make cheesy garlic bread.
